Benecos: Lipstick in Peach & Blush in Mallow Rose

I've had my eye on German brand Benecos for a while now since hearing it mentioned by other bloggers based in America. Their products are cruelty-free and are BDIH certified natural with all ingredients from a plant or mineral source. Benecos has recently launched in the UK, and they're so reasonably priced I had to order a few products from their line as soon as I could!

Benecos Natural Lipstick in Peach (RRP £6.95 link) is the first product I picked up. The swatch above shows the colour true to real life, but the lighting in the first two pictures is a little off (it shows you the little shimmery bits though!) This lipstick gives a gorgeous natural looking peach tint to your lips. It's really easy to apply, I've found it to be really moisturising and the colour lasts a good couple of hours too. A big thumbs up to this Benecos Lipstick!

Ingredients:
RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL*, LANOLIN, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL*, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) CERA, COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) CERA*, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX)*, PARFUM (ESSENTIAL OILS), LIMONENE, TOCOPHEROL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL*, MALTODEXTRIN, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS EXTRACT*, LINALOOL, BENZYL BENZOATE [+/- (MAY CONTAIN) CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE, ISOAMYL LAURATE, MICA, TALC, TIN OXIDE, CI 77007, CI 75470, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, TALC, SILICA, CI 77742]
* CERTIFIED ORGANIC

The next products I picked up is the Benecos Natural Powder Blush in Mallow Rose (RRP £5.95 link). As you can see from the pictures it's a highly pigmented pinky-purple blush which I think is perfect for summer. I've swatched it heavily so it would show up in the picture, but obviously I wouldn't recommend applying it quite so heavily on your face! I found that, because it's so pigmented, a little goes a long way and it's just a really pretty shade of blush to have for the summer.

Ingredients:
TALC, MICA, KAOLIN, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, MACADAMIA TERNIFOLIA SEED OIL*, RICINUS COMMUNIS SEED OIL*, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, P-ANISIC ACID*, TOCOPHEROL*, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL*, [+/- (MAY CONTAIN) CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77742, CI 75470, TIN OXIDE]
* CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Overall, my first impressions of this brand are pretty good to be honest! I love how reasonably priced the products are, so I'm looking forward to trying out more from Benecos in the near future!

Will you be trying any products from Benecos?

  9. I got their mascara in a Goodebox and really liked it! I've been wanting to try more of their products too so glad I came across this review....the lipstick looks lovely, but I have reservations about the blush. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous color but a red flag screams out at me when I see "talc" as the first ingredient. This is something I try to avoid so most likely I wouldn't use this blush.

    1. I definitely understand your issue with talc! As far as I know, this is actually the only product I own that contains talc, and I won't wear this blush that often (maybe once every couple of weeks) so for me personally, particularly as I've only just started switching to more natural products, I don't mind at the moment as my exposure to it is so little. Talc is one of the ingredients I plan on switching out completely in the future though :) x

  10. As greenie on a budget I also like Benecos a lot! I actually got the same blush a while ago in "sassy salmon". I also don't like every ingredient they use, but if you check labels thouroughly, you can pick just the things you like the ingredients of, right? I don't wear blush that often either, so for me this was a great budget-compromise!

    1. I know what you mean with ingredients! For me at the moment even though the ingredients aren't necessarily the best, they're still a lot better than many of the ingredients that 'mainstream' products include so I'm happy with it for now :) x
