Sample Stash #3

I've been using up some of my samples again this week. Here's what I tried out!

This was one of the products in my free box from Latest in Beauty. My hair has never been so easy to brush after washing and conditioning! It has a very strong coconutty vanilla scent. I usually love this kind of scent but it was a little too overpowering. My hair did feel pretty good after using this but the smell was just too strong for me, plus it's not natural so I won't be purchasing this.

This is one of those super expensive luxury products - a full sized 60ml tub of this will set you back £95.00. It also has a bit of a celebrity cult following with Eva Longoria and Madonna apparently loving this stuff. Let's face it though, they can easily afford this without blinking but unfortunately the average person's budget just wouldn't stretch that far for a face cream. It contains certified organic ingredients and is free from the usual chemical nasties. From what I can tell from the sample it is a lovely product, and to be honest, if I had a money tree I would probably splash out and treat myself!

This was included in the Latest in Beauty CEW UK 2013 Discovery Box that I bought last month. I'm not a fragrance wearer so I'm not entirely sure what any of this means, but according to the Elie Saab website: the top note is mandarin blossom, middle note gardenia, base note vetiver. All I know is that I do quite like the smell, but it's not really a me thing to wear scents so I'll be giving it a miss!

This is a interesting product and I've never actually used anything like it before. It's a facial oil but it comes in little individual capsules that you open up and massage into your face in the evening to reduce dryness and support the skin's natural renewal process. The sample pack comes with 2 capsules but I've only used one so far as they only need to be used once a week. They are rose scented as you can gather by the name and are perfect for dull skin as you wake up in the morning with a much brighter complexion. I'm not sure if I love it enough to purchase though, maybe I'll decide next week when I use the other capsule!

Have you ever tried any of these products? What did you think?

    1. Haha I know right! Yeah the oil capsules are pretty unusual, I'm undecided if they're worth buying or not! x

  2. I love trying samples. I actually have a big stash of them that I think I'll break into soon!
I can't believe someone would spend £95 on any kind of beauty product. To me that's just insane (then again I'm a penny watcher!)

  3. I love the Elie Saab fragrance! It's a shame you don't enjoy scents :( £95 for face cream? It's a shame they are only targeting the rich and famous :( I think I will stick to my Nivea :) x

    1. I do like the scent, perfume just isn't something I've ever been a big fan of! The face cream is rather pricey, definitely a luxury product! x

  4. That Elie Saab fragrance smells divine. May need to check it out next time I'm in town =)
I do love trying out samples as it gives you such a wider view on products that you'd never think of trying let alone buying. I don't think I'd ever spend £95 on a face product and I bet the ingredients can be found in a cheaper alternative.
Love these posts of yours hun =)
