NOTD: Nude and Black Contrast

I felt like getting creative with my nails today and actually wanted to do polka dots... that went a little bit wrong - as you can see there's no polka dots here! In an attempt to cover up the mess I'd made I decided to do some freehand lines (hence why they're a little wobbly and uneven!). It turned out slightly more dramatic than I expected but I kinda like it so thought I would share my accident with you anyway!

The nude polish I used is Ciaté's Cookies and Cream (I did a NOTD post with this before here). I love the shade but the formula and brush just aren't the best. I had to do 4 coats to get it properly opaque and get rid of patches. The black is Barry M nail paint in NP47 which I used in my Black and Gold Glitter Fade tutorial a few months ago.

I would never have thought to do my nails like this if it wasn't for my rubbish attempt at polka dots so I'm glad I managed to come up with something different to salvage the situation! I think I'll try to recreate this sometime with a nail art pen to make the lines a little thinner and neater!

What to you think of my accidental nail art? (Feel free to say you hate it haha!)
