NOTD: Zoya Song
Zoya's Song is one of those striking and unique shades that stands out in my nail polish collection. It's a really gorgeous blue shade, described as a "bold, vibrant medium primary blue with silver and blue glittery metallic sparkle". It has a cool toned foil finish and is amazingly opaque in just one coat.
This shade is originally from Zoya's NYFW Diva collection from autumn 2012, but I would happily wear this shade all year round! Zoya polishes are usually £11.00, so I just couldn't resist picking it up for the bargain price of £3.50 when it was on sale at Beauty Chamber a couple of months ago!
The colour appearance varies depending on the light; the photo above was taken in direct sunlight where the blue shade looks lighter and more vibrant, whereas the photo below was taken in cloudy daylight (this darker shade is more true to life).
Even though this polish contains tiny metallic bits of glitter, it's still just as easy to remove as any other nail polish (I use Fresh Therapies natural nail polish remover - reviewed here). I was half expecting it might stain my nails too as it's such a vibrant colour, but I tried it both with and without a base coat with no staining at all - it's a winner for sure! This has easily been my most worn nail polish recently and is quickly becoming one of my favourite shades!
Have you used Zoya nail polish before? What do you think of Song?
