NOTD: Zoya Song

Zoya's Song is one of those striking and unique shades that stands out in my nail polish collection. It's a really gorgeous blue shade, described as a "bold, vibrant medium primary blue with silver and blue glittery metallic sparkle". It has a cool toned foil finish and is amazingly opaque in just one coat.

This shade is originally from Zoya's NYFW Diva collection from autumn 2012, but I would happily wear this shade all year round! Zoya polishes are usually £11.00, so I just couldn't resist picking it up for the bargain price of £3.50 when it was on sale at Beauty Chamber a couple of months ago!

The colour appearance varies depending on the light; the photo above was taken in direct sunlight where the blue shade looks lighter and more vibrant, whereas the photo below was taken in cloudy daylight (this darker shade is more true to life).

Even though this polish contains tiny metallic bits of glitter, it's still just as easy to remove as any other nail polish (I use Fresh Therapies natural nail polish remover - reviewed here). I was half expecting it might stain my nails too as it's such a vibrant colour, but I tried it both with and without a base coat with no staining at all - it's a winner for sure! This has easily been my most worn nail polish recently and is quickly becoming one of my favourite shades!

Have you used Zoya nail polish before? What do you think of Song?

  2. I have been looking for a natural nail polish! How long did this last you on your nails? More than a few days without a touch up?

    1. I think water-based polish like Scotch Naturals are more natural but I haven't tried them yet! All my Zoya polishes last around 6 days without chipping for me, sometimes even longer :) x

  3. I just picked this up and was blown away by it. I normally don't love blue but I have a feeling this will be in VERY heavy rotation this summer!!

  5. I love Zoya. I have a couple of colours (basically my entire nail collection!) and an Avril one. I have a coral one that I use for my toenails in the summer months and a nude one (which was reduced in Naturisimo back in January) for my finger nails. I'd like to get a red one and maybe a navy or dark purple one and that'd be my entire nail polish collection as I rarely have polish on my finger nails.

    1. Zoya are great aren't they :) Can't go wrong with coral and nude polishes! You should definitely go for a red next, always a classic one! x
