It’s easy to assume that most beauty bloggers are constantly splashing out on new products to review, but those who know me well know that I hardly ever buy beyond the necessities nowadays! This is actually one of the many reasons you might have noticed fewer blog posts from me in recent months, along with a bit of writer’s block and needing time to focus on work and other projects (hope you guys understand! I’m going to try my best to aim for about 2 blog posts a week from now on, but I digress)…
Since I don’t often buy more than I need, every few months or so I’ll end up having a little bit of a splurge! I picked up a few things over the past couple of weeks – first was Madara’s Moon Flower Tinting Fluid. I’ve owned this before and figured it was the perfect time to repurchase for spring/summer. It’s a really nice light coverage tinted moisturiser, evening out skin tone and giving a radiant finish. I managed to get this at 40% discount on sale at LoveLula so it was a great £10 saving!
I needed to stock up on shower gel so went for budget friendly Organic Surge, trying the Tropical Orange & Bergamot scent this time. I’ve only used it once so far and on first impressions it smells a bit different to what I expected, but maybe it will grow on me! I’ve also been meaning to find some natural hair products for my other half for a while now so picked up a travel size of Intelligent Nutrients Styling Gel for him to try out. Maybe I’ll persuade him to do another review on the blog soon as it’s been a long time since his blogging debut!
Last week I couldn’t resist taking advantage of abeautifulworld’s flash discount to celebrate their second birthday. I ordered a backup Soapwalla Deodorant Cream and the new Citrus version too which smells amazing! I’m always intrigued about matte finish nail polish but never tried any myself, so decided to go for INTENSAE’s Matt Top Coat – I’ve not tested it yet but I’ll do an update on that one!
Finally, there’s the beauty box everyone’s been talking about! Naturisimo released a limited-edition Makeup Discovery Box last week that was too good to miss – it sold out so quickly. The box was £9.95 but worth £45, containing a full size Inika Ultimate Lip Tint in ‘Candy’ and Bellapierre Kabuki Brush, along with the cutest little Jane Iredale Mascara and Lip & Cheek Stain minis and sample sachets of Green People and Madara tinted moisturisers. I’m so glad I got this great value box and I’m particularly loving the Inika Lip Tint!
Have you tried any of these products before?
