Brand Spotlight - Inika Organic Cosmetics

Inika have to be one of my favourite natural makeup brands. I've tried a few products from their range now and have never been disappointed! Just in case you're not already familiar with Inika, they're an Australian brand dedicated to creating high quality, high performance natural cosmetics. Inika use a large percentage of certified organic ingredients and their products are also vegan, halal and cruelty-free. If that wasn't enough to win you over, all of Inika's tubes, pots and brushes are made from recycled materials and all of their packaging is also recyclable. They really do tick every single box for not only being 100% natural, but committed to their ethical standards too.

This blush is so easy to use thanks to the puff sponge applicator. The packaging makes it ideal for travel or just keeping in your bag with no worries about the powder spilling out and it has a little mirror on top too for applying on the go. Rosy Glow is a mauve/pink shade which definitely adds a healthy looking glow to the cheeks, especially as it has hint of shimmer too. I love powder products like this as you can build up gradual colour to suit different occasions from day to night.

I've tried a couple of different natural liquid foundations, but this is the only one so far I've actually liked! I've used up two mini tubes of this now and still love it so I'm planning on getting the full size next month. The ingredients are really great with numerous skincare benefits and the light-medium coverage it gives is ideal for daily use. It's also works perfectly with mineral foundation layered over the top for extra coverage.

I've talked about my love for this foundation on the blog before and it's still one of my favourites! I love how it blends into the skin seamlessly to even out skin tone and it doesn't even feel like you're wearing any makeup. I often use this by itself, but I also like using it over tinted moisturiser or liquid foundation with a kabuki brush for a more flawless, higher coverage finish.

When it comes to eyeshadow, I'm not particularly adventurous, mostly sticking with the neutral shades. I know some might find mineral eyeshadows a bit harder to work with compared to pressed shadows but I personally dont mind them and find it easy to apply and blend with an eyebuki brush. Honeycomb is a matte nude shade which works really well as a base, for blending, or even just alone for a really natural look to open up the eyes. I think it would make a nice highlight on darker skin tones too.

I usually just remove my eye makeup with the same cleanser I'm using on the rest of my face (to save an extra step!), but I like to use this to remove heavier eye makeup. It's a cream product with plenty of nourishing ingredients, gentle enough for sensitive eyes and I find it has quite a soothing effect as well. To use, you only need a small amount on a cotton pad to sweep over the eyes and effortlessly remove all traces of makeup.

This is my most recent favourite from Inika. I love the sleek packaging and the product itself is so hydrating you don't need to use a separate lip balm underneath. It contains peppermint oil which gives a minty scent and a very subtle plumping effect. I have the shade Candy which is a nude pinkish shade with a slightly metallic shimmery sheen. As this is a tint rather than a lipstick, the effect is more natural looking but lasts for a good couple of hours, helping you look more put together!

Next on my list to try: Inika's Pure Primer, Mineral Setting Powder and Organic Eyeliner - I can already tell I'm going to love them all! If you're looking for high performance, truly natural makeup products, Inika really is one of the best brands out there and I can't recommend them enough!

Have you tried any makeup from Inika before?
