Lily Lolo Natural Eye Pencil

Lily Lolo were one of the first natural makeup brands I came across and also the first mineral makeup I ever tried. That was a couple of years ago now and long before I went "green", but aside from the natural factor I'd always heard great things about the high performance of their makeup products! Recently, the Lily Lolo brand had a makeover and revealed their stylish and sophisticated new look. I did like the old packaging, but I totally love the new look and I definitely feel like it's brought a little something extra to the brand!

I've been testing out their Natural Eye Pencil* in Black (RRP £6.99) which has a new formula. The first thing that stood out for me was how incredibly pigmented it is! The colour payoff really is impressive with a true deep black which seems to make my blue eye colour stand out a lot more. It's perfect for creating dramatic definition around the eyes and it's so easy to apply as the pencil is very soft.

I find the formula to be really long-lasting on my upper lash line and it's also gentle enough for me to use on my waterline with no irritation. My only slight niggle is that whenever I use it on my lower lash line it seems to end up transferring under my eyes after about an hour, so I stick to using it to line my upper lashes instead where I know it stays in place!

I'm sure I'll try more makeup from Lily Lolo at some point and I want to pick up a full size of their bronzer too (I tried a sample here). I also have my eye on some of the neutral shades of their new pressed eyeshadows!

Have you tried any Lily Lolo products before?

  2. I have their mascara which is great though I only really wear mascara on my upper lashes as I have watery eyes so can't attest to how it performs from that point of view. The brush is good too and it doesn't get clumpy, maybe a tiny bit flaky compared to non natural products but not so that it would put me off. I am contemplating getting their mineral make up too. I don't wear any foundation at the moment but since I had a baby I've noticed my skin has gone rubbish so really feel like I need something now.

    1. Ooh I will look into their mascara next time I buy from them! Mineral makeup would be a great choice for you! It reduces the appearance of imperfections but still lets your skin breathe so you won't be blocking pores and making it worse like some of the "mainstream" foundations do :)

  3. Thank you for sharing this. I have a eye makeup base from this company but wasn't really aware they did more make-up. Going to check this one out: it's definitely reasonably priced!

  6. Love it, eyeliner is one of those tricky items I have had trouble finding (and loving) in the green beauty world. Good pick! :0) Kathryne @getunsullied :0)

  7. This is the eyeliner I use throughout my working week. Though actually, I'm still on the old formula as it lasts SO long. Look forward to seeing whether there's much of a difference between the two. x
